If its just a cold, try healing on your own. Ask  your doctor first. I take an allergy pill, cause in mi temp is always changing. Went from 10 to 60 in a day. Maybe just vitamin c would work

Aspirin containing medicine can probably be safer then Tylenol [unless there is an evidence of bleeding disorders].

Maybe you could try some hot tea w/honey &/or lemon plus some good homemade chicken soup to help to make you feel better.   Some vicks sauve to open up your passages with alot of heavy blankets after a hot bath to sweat it out until it rides on threw for a more natural approach.

If all fails after a few days.  Check with your doctor first "before you take anything" but maybe ask about Coricidin HBP cold/flu med's.

I hope you feel better soon.

I cannot take any of them anymore. I react to all now because of my thyroid. I would be very very careful. My personal recommendation is to Not take any over the counter meds for colds or flu.
