family gathering

I am leaving in about 10 minutes to go to my nephews wedding.  His mother is my sister and she and I never seem to get along.  I can't do anything right with her...I am 45 and she is 55 and it is still going on.  I am worried about my truth issue though...you know the one where you say what you think which can be dangerous considering my recent brain fog and meltdown.  I am not sorry for what I say but the delivery leaves a lot to be desired...Wish me luck! This could get interesting!!

Thanks for listening
Suzie

My sister is 6 years older then me. We NEVER got along....spent most of our childhood trying to kill each other. This recent health scare with me and really changed HER. She emails several times a week and sent me flowers after surgery. She's still gruff and raw around the edges but I know she loves me.

I think she finally decided this **** has gone on long enough and neither of us is getting any younger.

Maybe your Little "problem" with the truth is excatly what you both need. I'd lay it all on the line and let her know excatly how you feel, the good and the bad. THEN the ball is in her court. If she wants to change or not its her problem. At least its off your chest and ....hehe.....it might be fun LOL Good luck!!!

You definitely need to let us know how that goes.  It's kind of sad that you guys are this age and it's still going on, although it's the same with my two older brothers.  Sometimes the dynamics just don't fit.  Are you throwing any alcohol in the mix?  Because that can make for a REAL dangerous situation - with the truth issue and the loose lips!!  Should be interesting for sure!
