high cholesterol and hypothyroidism

My cholesterol is high, very high. I tried to tell my dr that this is related to hypothyroidism, and she wanted proof that the 2 are related. Does anyone know of a "study" that I could print out and take to her?

Get a new doctor...seriously!!! We are our own advocates for health, but to require a patient to gather proof regarding related medical conditions is rediculous. If your doctor was worth anything, he/she would be up to date on any and all new studies. Heard of the Journal of the American Medical Association, Doc?
