how long does medication take to work?

how long does it take for the medication to work?? especially if its been like that for seven years??
and did anyone feel heart palpitations on it?

Are you Hypothyroid?
If you are asking about hormone replacement drugs;

The medication will start working in about a week. It will take six weeks for the medication to come up to full strength in your body.

You should have more bloodwork at that time to see how the dosage is working for you.

Some of the symptoms will subside in a month or two. Some of them may hang on much longer.

What makes you mention 7 years?
