the 112 mcg are red . My doctor ordered blood work to see if I am allergic to red dye. I notice in the evening my lips start to burn and the area around my lips on my face also start to feel burny.
The only thing I can think of that would relate to the medication would be if the med was a different brand. Different brands have different fillers/binders used in making the pills. Some people have reactions to some of the fillers/binders. Are you sure the 112 mcg dose was the same brand?
Also, it is the time of year for goldenrod and ragweed, and many other powerful allergens in the air. Any chance it could be related to that? I know i have had the burning lips and mouth during really bad hayfever seasons.
Each different dose contains different fillers. The doses are color-coded, so you might be sensitive to the dye used in your current dose.
Are you still taking the same brand or the same generic (from the same manufacturer)?
