Report shows that i have a multinodular goitre ( right lobe: 1cm & 0.9cm ; left lobe: 0.9, 0.5 & 0.5 nodules, with isthmus as normal & no cervical lymphadenopathy)
Blood report shows T3, T4, TSH as normal.
Fine Needle aspiration cytology shows that
smears from thyroid aspirate show : cellular haemorrhagic aspirate, follicular cells arranged in clusters around colloid, few pseudopapillary structures as well as single follicular cells, colloid in the background, no nuclear features of malignancy.
Impression : Benign follicular lesion suggestive of hyperplastic nodule
Two surgeons recommended surgery, whereas a physician says no treatment or surgery required at the moment. I am now confused as what to do? please suggest.
