Everything i read on hypothyroidism symptoms lists muscular and or joint pain. I have another disorder called paramyotonia congenita with hyperkalemic periodic paralysis. Both cause muscular pain

I have no suggestion for trying to distinguish among those symptoms.  Perhaps it would be best to just get your thyroid levels optimized, along with Vitamin D, B12, ferritin, and cortisol (if it is a concern), and then see how you are doing afterward.

Yes I have as I had said on the other post. It's more the PMC that I'm trying to separate but that being very rare makes it difficult to find any support out there. So I figured I would address it from the other side, the other health problem I have the hypothyroidism since that is far more common I figured others could tell me what that feels like then I could differentiate the two on my own. Thank you very much for your information

If you don't know about paramyotonia congenita it is a rate muscular disorder in where the muscles have a delayed reaction in relaxing after contracting, causing what can be compared to a lactic burn kind of pain and cramping to the point of exhaustion, if pushed to continue working, causing the hyperkalemic periodic paralysis.

I also had a total thyroidectomy and so I am hypothyroid and am trying to differentiate the pain between both disorders
