By chance do you mean mcgs? I started out on 25mcgs and jumped up to 50 after three months. I didn't start feeling better till three month again later. However, I have two other issues that share similar symptoms so I can't say it took that long as much as it "may" have. So, my next question is, does this stuff work that fast? a week or two from when you first start? Again, it took me "possibly" six months before I felt better so could this be just a coincidence and it wont really be for a while before you feel the medication's effects.
I heard a massage will make sore muscles and other tissue feel better, just let me know and I'll be there ASAP! ..... ;-)
Get your glands checked out as I had 2 cysts years ago which gave the same symptoms.
Mind you this was BEFORE Graves and Hyperthyroidism was diagnosed.
May be no significance but worth checking.
If thyroid can affect saliva glands, glands in the neck then why not in our b@@bies lol !
thank you SO much for responding - i am seriously losing my mind. i actually went to my dr on friday because my left one is so freaking big and painful. i actually am a tad concerned because the pain i think is because they have gotten so much bigger (it's actually more my left than my right) and i have been running about 50 miles a week... at first the pain comforted me (sounds dumb) but since breast cancer is most often not painful i thought "oh it's hormonal" but when i took the day off on friday i noticed the girls didn't hurt nearly as bad - so i think the pain is because of the swelling and the running. so no i am wigged out that there might be something wrong with me. make that ANOTHER thing wrong with me :) although i have 5 kids and a crazy life. no way is God going to let me off the hook so i am sure it's not going to be anything life threatening... HA!
anyway - it may still be the medication - the doctor ordered a diagnostic mammogram and a ultrasound so if that all comes up normal he said we'd start exploring what else could be causing the growth of the girls :)
oh and a bummer - i have only lost 2 pounds. i thought for sure i had lost 5 or more - but then again my chest might be holding the weight!

You know something, I am having EXACTLY the same issues, I wasn't going to post it coz I thought people would assume I am nuts.
I am on Eutroxsig 114.3 mcgs (thyroxine only med) (don't ask about the dose it's a looooong story)
My boobs are massive compared to how they normally are and it feels exactly like when I first get pregnant. My nipples are incredibly tender and sore. I just went to a goodwill store and bought 3 new bras as the others no longer fit!
I am glad you posted this! I don't have sex, am not menopausal, and my weight is steady for months. Maybe we can just be happy it's a new side effect of our meds!
Cheers!
