over medicated or just becoming "normal"?

my synthroid was increased a week ago from 25 mg to 37.5. I am having symptoms similar to hyper, but am not sure if this is actually hyper or I am just having more energy.

My heart is hurting a bit, feeling anxiety, and super sensitive hearing.

I have been hyper before and do not want to do it again. So I am wondering if this is how normal feels or if I am going hyper. I do not want to reduce the dosage if this is to be expected, yet like I said I do not want to become hyper. That was awful

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Peggy, I start to have some resistance to synthroid at about a week to two weeks but it appears to me that as I enter the third week my body begins to adapt better. Also I was taking mega does of B12 and Magnesium and I just had my labs checked and actually had a bit too much of both. At this point it is difficult for me to say whether I was actually having that much difficulty adjusting to the synthroid or just too much magnesium B12. B12 can make you anxious if you take it at the wrong time of the day, giving you insomnia. Magnesium is a heavy metal, be cautious if you are using any supplements.
Peggy, I also wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the comments you have made in response to my suffering, my sleep appears to be returning to normal but I am still hypo, TSH came in at 6.75 and palps started again over the weekend. Oh well, Lord willing we will get past this and be able to return to our lives and families. Try not to worry about it, it WILL get better, I know that when I dwell and allow myself to be anxious anxiety sets in and can destroy my sleep, attitude, daily routine. Take care and God Bless!

Thank you so much! I need lots of hugs.

Right you are! That is horrible, but so is the hypo.

HUGS to Peggy!  Sorry i don't know the answer....but you will know in due time if you are....hopefully you are not. I would think you might get a little racey with your hyper reaction with the armour. Just take it day by day and try not to panick as you are probably very fearful of going hyper right now. Wish i had an answer for you!  :)
