What did your ENT suggest? I started taking Zyrtec with some relieve from aching glands in my upper throat, under the jaw area. Seems to help some. Aches not fully gone though.
I have Hashi's. Have been on Synthorid and just switched to Armour. With some success, not much. Seems to have helped with some of the body aches. However, right after I switched, began more throat and gland aching with a day or two of tongue swelling. I added a B12 and am looking into the Selenium choice too.
I also am having issues with high blood pressure and am on HCTZ for that, and have high morning blood sugars. Am still a bit tired and have pressure behind the eyes as well as stinging eyes.
I would welcome any suggestions from others too. I am waiting on labs just done today. We'll see.
Short answer - YES!!! I had horrible coughing caused by a nodule. When you think about it, there is a whole lot of very important stuff in just a few cubic inches on your neck. Nerves, blood vessels, esophagus, trachea, glands, muscles, tendons. If anything gets swollen, it puts pressure on something else.
I even went to an ENT for horrible ear and jaw pain. I thought it was infection. ENT said it was allergies. Then I showed him my lab work. That got his attention.
Are you on any anti-thyroid meds?
If not, I suggest you see your Doctor.
