pig sources for Naturthroid are they healthy

Does anyone know how to get natural thyroid homrone from pigs who are not fed with GMO feed, like soy and corn with GMO's.  I recently read an article on Mercola.com that a lot of pigs are showing inflammaton in their bodies from the feed they eat.  Does that also mean their thyroid's are infmallmed and are they using them in the meds they make.  What is being done to ensure the meds are not from diseased pigs?

Thanks for your comment.  I wrote to the nakers of Naturthroid a few weeks ago  and have yet to hear back on the source of their product and whether they check for disease or inflammation in the thyroid tissue they use.

As for Dr. Mercola, his article is citing a sscientific study showing pigs have widespread inflammation due to their diets high in GMO foods.  The article does not mention thyroid but made me think of the sourcing of the medicaitons..

Just because pigs are fed GMO feed, doesn't meant they are "diseased".  Most of the products we eat these days have some sort of chemical additives, unless you make sure you are buying only totally organic foods, including the flour and sugar you buy, as well as all your fruits, veggies.

You would have to contact the makers of Armour, NatureThroid or whoever makes your brand of desiccated medication to find out where they are getting the pig thyroids they are using for the medication.

While Mercola has some really good articles and the GMO issue is certainly something to be considered, he's often "out there" a little too far.
