I meant to say that because of the Circadian Rhythm of TSH, it is lower later in the day and thus the chance of getting a false low result that falls in the so-called "normal" range is higher.
I doubt that those matter, unless you are talking about the TSH test which hs a circadian Rhythm by which it is higher later in the day. But TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many things that at best it is only an indicator to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms, and also levels of the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3. That is why I asked you to post test results and symptoms.
If your doctor is dosing you based on TSH, that does not work. A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T4 and free T3 as necessary to relieve hypo symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results. If you will post your symptoms and test results, I will be glad to help interpret and advise further.
my question is:
re the blood test for hypothyroidism:
What is recommended re exercising or not, fasting or not, having the test done in the morning or afternoon?
Meant to also ask what symptoms you are having.
What are the thyroid tests usually done by your doctor/ Please post results and reference ranges shoon on the lab report.
