Sorry I've been away. Been ill. But need to ask USS question.

So sorry I've been away a while but I've had a very very bad month. So I'm also sorry I haven't been of more help here. And I'm also sorry that the second time I've come back on this week it's to ask a question. But I'm still not good at this stuff. Can anyone tell me what an USS report that says the following would imply? Does it mean you'd be going hyper or hypo? Basically it says this: Thickening in the region of the lower pole of the left lobe of the thyroid.
998 if you're still out there, I'd be grateful for your experience here too!

Sorry to bother you again. But I've been swinging between borderline highs, lows, and normals all year with the TSH, but have no antibodies. I have also just been diagnosed with Sjogren's and have been going through a premature menopause all at the same time. Docs have said eventually my thyroid will settle one way or the other or might settle even normal when I have finished this premature menopause which they say is putting pressure on my thyroid. But when you say inflammation, do you know if the lobule problem is more likely to be seen with hypo or hyper in these situations? Thanks by the way 898 for your prompt response it's much appreciated.

it means the tissue is more dense [harder] then the rest of the gland [known as pseudo-nodule] but it is NOT a real nodule. Such observation is common among the people who are having thyroid inflammation.
