sick of being sick

dx yesterday with hashis-after i have been complaining for years years about my physical symptoms & mental symtoms (dx 15 years ago with chronic depression) I actually can t live like this
My head has been hurting all the time, my arms and legs hurt all over (joint pain & pain to touch) sleep as often as possible but it is never enough.  I cant concentrate at work.  I thought that was due to alcohol.  I have been sober for two months and have never felt this bad in my entire life.  I dont feel like doing anything but sleeping.  I take percs to handle the pain and vivarin to keep me awake at work.  I would just like to have my thyroid removed and not deal with it anymore.

I got an appt today with an endo (February 27th) what am I to do until then.  I think im going insane, i feel the same as yesterday and the day before and the day before that and the day before that.  Everyone keeps asking me how I feel like it just goes away.  The endos office wouldnt answer any of my questions since im not a patient yet.  I do have an appt with pcp on thursday just so that i can talk to her rather than the nurses.  They basically tell me none of this is related to hashis.  I missed work again today and cant stay awake for more than one hour.  Please help

Me too!!!

Your body is kind of screwed up right now. Quitting drinking is good, but short term your body hates you. The Vivarin is probably making that part worse.

It will take a week or two before the Thyroid meds get enough hormones into you to help you feel better. It will take several months before you feel great.

You are on Thyroid meds, right?

Don't take generics!!

Take your pill first thing in the morning and wait an hour before eating or taking any other meds. Some meds need to be taken several hours later. You should make sure any morning meds do not interfere with the Thyroid med getting absorbed. Some vitamins or supplements can interfere with your body absorbing the Thyroid meds as well.

Look at what meds you take and how you take them. Don't take them in such a way that they cancel each other out or interfere with each other.

Hope you feel better soon.
