It raises the TSH. I guess it is relatively quick because the scan was on a Friday and the injections were on the Mon. and Tues. of that week. Although I was a little tired the following week it was not bad, definately not hypo.

When you have thyrogen injections what does it do to your TSH?  Does it go up quickly and then go right back down? Do you feel hypo or anything? I"m having the injections in June for my scan and I don't want it!

I recently had thyrogen injections for the third time and have never had any side effects.  It is so much easier than going off your meds.  Good luck

I'm so sorry to hear about your recurrence, that sucks :(  I just had thyrogen shots for my ablation on 5/9 (TT was on 4/11) and had no reaction whatsoever to them.  I have heard that common side effects are flu like symptoms, but I was perfectly fine.

You said you are stage 3, did you have distant mets?
