Im bk in in may and due for a blood test so i will ask then.I woke up this morning in a right mood i think i must be ovulating i only get it twice a month around the same time .I went to bed with tummy ache and bloating last night bt i ate around 8 and that is too late for me i have to eat small and often and earlier that does seem to help. Thanks for your comments
Best regards anna
hi i had the one operation and had it all removed in one go i did read in a medical book that my daughter brought from the chemist that people who have no thyroid function would benefit from having t3 i feel that i am not converting from t4 properly and apparantly that can happen when i eventually got my doctor to listen and refer my to an endo he refused to test me and said he didnt believe in t3 although from every one who has it they seem to benefit from it i am still trying to find a way to be properly assessed as my doctor admits he doesnt know much about thyroids i must admit since my op i do feel a lot better than before but maybe thats because im on a higher dose. you seem to lead a hectic life how do you manage i can just about do the basics good luck in everything and let me know how you get on with a t3 test, since reading this site ive realised how far behind the american doctors our doctors are the really seem to take it seriously wish ours did.
Even though I have not had a TT many hypothyroid pateints suffer the bloating issues and doctors do not connect the two. It is a real symptoms of being either thyroid related or medicine induced hypothyroid. (Not enough meds)
Adding the T3 may help - T3 is the actural hormone that stimilate the body to get symptoms back in check throughout the body.
Amour thyroid meds have assisted me in getting my bloating - PMS back to tolerable.
Was it cancer that took your thyroid? and what is your actual TSH now?
hi,
yes i am under Dr Brammer in wolverhampton where i live for the cancer and another specialist for my neck ive just gone blank on his name ( brain fog) . Ive had all my results and he thinks that they are normal, im in in may to see my endo again and have more bloods done.I had a scan last month and i still have 2 more lumps bt they have not changed size, but i want to see what shows up in my bloods.I have had two ops now for this and would not like a third,Your husband sounds like mine ha, im going to ask about t3/t4 together in tablet form, somebody has told me it helps bt i need to learn all about t3/t4/t5 to understand what they do. I see you are new to this site and i am aswell it is full of good info, have you had one operation or more ? and how do you feel now?
i was diagnosed in 2006 had my first op in july then got married in june 07, then had another op in july 2 weeks after the wedding and then we were in the middle of building our house, and finaly at the start of 07 i started my own buisness what a rush. Still think im in a dream land . Im 40 in june and im having a big party bt my husband is sorting it out thank god.
hi i also had my thyroid removed in 2006 but must admit have never suffered any pain or bloating do have brain fog mood swing (my husband now just leaves the room instead of arguing back) and loads of excess weight. am also on 150ml of thyroxine although still dont feel myself i do feel better than before the op. i think maybe the pain and bloating could be something different not related to your op (unless any one else has had the same symptons) but these are symptons i have never had
i notice you are also from the uk can you tell me have you seen an endo and have you had a t3 test done
