thyroid size

i just had my thyroid removed two weeks agoand my surgical pathology reports the size of my thyroid as "total thyroid gland 170G. specimen is distorted including a paired 10x4x3.7 cm right and left thyroid 4.7cm inwidth, 2cm in len isthmus binding the two. Total weight of 1/4 pd. Much more to the report but my question is what is the "normal size" of a healthy thyroid and was mine really large?
