How much weight did you lose, and how quickly? Losing weight may not be a reason to cut back on your med. As FTB4 said, please post your latest labs, with reference ranges from your report, so we can see what your levels are.
Did your doctor advise this cut?
cutting back on synthroid will possibly continue to make your TSH level rise. Its already above the normal range. Are you taking it as prescribed? And some people lose, and some gain. I lose and gain and lose and gain because my levels often rise and fall for no apparent reason. Did your doctor ask you to cut back on your synthroid or is it something you are doing on your own? I lost six pounds in the last month, and am now gaining it back. I do not want to lose anymore weight and would like to gain it back. But, I am very faithful with my thyroid meds, I take it each morning as prescribed on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. There are times where I gain weight for no reason as well. I do find that most people who have thyroid disease are overweight and can't take any off. Be careful.
You cut back prior to your rise in TSH or after? Post all of your labs with ranges provided and so members can see where you are at and comment or advise. Good Luck FTB4
