what is the AIP handbook for hypothyroid

I saw the thread, someone said they were eliminating foods from their diet to help hypothyroid. Has anyone found themselves with the same problem of food givng them migraines and finding their hormone balance is disturbed and giving them a migraine and sore and siezed muscles constipation and hair loss with the slightest food sensitivity
I too have been eliminating things from my diet. I take digestive enzymes and cannot eat soy or wheat. I have found that vitamins from "Youngevity" healthy body start pak with tangy tangerine have helped me. But I still on the verge of a migraine every time I try to add grain or rice to my diet. I must also avoid canola & palm oil. I believe that I am mostly organic in my sources of foods, but even macadameia nuts that were organic set off a migraine. The hypothyroid is the thing that may be a part of the food sensitivities..

I'm not sure, but AIP might be "Autoimmune Protocol"...

Have you been tested for celiac?  That would be the first thing to check out... Celiac is another autoimmune and once a person has one autoimmune, the chances of getting another are much greater.

Soy is a goitrogen and many of us eliminate it from our diet for that reason.

Just being hypothyroid won't cause you to be more sensitive to food, but some people tend to be more sensitive than others. Once you find a food that you're sensitive to, by all means, avoid it...

Have you tried adding grains like quinoa, amaranth, etc?  They're supposed to be more hypoallergenic... What about brown rice in place of white?  I haven't eaten white rice in quite a few years.  Neither do I eat canola or palm oils.  My oils of choice are olive or coconut, but I'll use peanut in some instances.  Coconut oil is supposed to have very healing properties.
