ticks in kids

Hi all, my son is 5 and his school have picked up on him displaying some tick like behaviour...it started with shoulder jerks this went on for a few wks and my son didn't appear to acknowledge these movements, they seemed to only occure at school...now his stopped the shoulder jerks but seems to sniff excessively his had no cold or runny nose, the sniffing has been going on now for 2wks. Does this sound like it could be ts the school is monitoring him and i have a meeting with them this wk about it..
id be grateful  for any advice/info please.

I did the same things! I, too, was also diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome when I was around five. Yes, you should call the school and have a DISCRETE meeting about it. I remember when I was in first grade (that's when we first found out), my parents called the school and had a meeting with the principal about it. They even called me out of class so I could sit there. But, enough about me. Make sure the meeting ks discrete, like mentioned before, and just talk to the principal about kt, and also make sure the teachers know, as well.
