My child was diagnosed with motor tics at age 7. Over the years they waxed and waned with very little noticablity. She is very smart and outgoing, but fear that might change one day with this condition. Now 13, she has about 8 different movements that she does throughout her day, and noticeable. She just started saying her name quietly at the end of her sentences occasionally. Is this a verbal tic? She has never had any other signs of verbal tics. Can they come at this stage of her life, seeing she had motor tics over 6 years ago? Does this now confirm that she has tourette's? Or is she at her peak, where the tics are heightened and will hopefully start to disapate? Any way to show the average individual living with this condition as to what happens next? Will it continue to get a lot worse or better? Any suggestions?
