Can you have a TBI without signs of one showing up on an MRI?
Also, can you have a TBI with symptoms that come and go?

Hi!
Yes, sometimes a TBI may not show up in MRI in initial stages. However, if you have neurological signs and symptoms that come and go, then it could also be due to concussion. This will not come up on MRI. If symptoms persist for long or worsen then a repeat MRI is done to rule out TBI. Please discuss with your treating doctor. Take care!
