Please share. Has anyone ever had a similar experience with a teenage boy's health?

In October my son who is 15 had an accident.  He broke his collar bone, had a concussion, an internal intestinal injury and a small pelvic fracture.  Since then my son has suffered with chronic nausea, occasional dizzy spells, he is unable to eat consistently and lost weight (going from 159 lbs in October  to 138 lbs in March).  In addition to the physical issues ....he now suffers with angry outbursts, unable to go to school during those times when he feels most sick although he generally feels sick every day.  He is unable to hang out with friends for more than a few hours at a time, he appears depressed is suffers from anxiety.  I should also note my son was diagnosed with ADHD for attentional issues from age 8.   He has recently talked about wishing he were dead because he feels so ill and we are working on finding a good psychiatrist  for him.   I am writing because I am looking for potential answers.  My son has been going to his Dr. for months now without any real answers although his Dr. is concerned and set in to a GI doctor and our appointment is finally  here (we had to wait 2 months for appointment) I will be asking for a second opinion from Children's Hospital if I don't get answers as to what may be causing this issue. I know my son is not faking this.   The weight loss is very concerning to me.  However my son's mental state is also worrisome.  At times he has an angry outburst and will apologize shortly after.  He is not trying to lose weight and he tries to eat  but will lose his appetite quickly.  I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if it was related to an accident? Also, what was the medical diagnosis and what treatment did your child receive.  Thank you.

While I don't have the answers to all of your son's symptoms, I feel you need to aggressively find out what is causing his situation.  You mention that he "has been going to his Dr. for months now without any real answers", so I would be inclined to try someone else.  His concussion most concerns me and I wonder if his has had any head scans and other tests to see the extent of his head trauma.

He had 2 CAT scans  (not head) a few days after his accident  because he became very ill suddenly with terrible stomach pain I had to bring him to the ER with pediatric trauma.   They transferred him by ambulance to a hospital equipped to deal with his issues.  This was the first time I found out he had concussion, intestinal injury and pelvic fracture.  The original hospital who treated him said he had only broke his collar bone. The hospital where he was admitted were pretty confident he would recover just fine given a little time but sadly he hasn't.  They gave him medication for nausea but it really did not help him.  I am planning to  see another doctor if GI has no answer for us.  I really am not convinced the issue is in his stomach.
