Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I am so sorry to hear about your son. Frontal lobe is associated with mood and memory. Thus any damage to this lobe can lead to long term memory loss, mood swings, talking too much, and energy bursts leading to over activity. Long term complication is chance of schizophrenia.
Walking is a more complex activity requiring proper functioning of several parts of brain, spinal cord and muscles. Though only frontal lobe injury should not affect the walking, there are several other factors that will decide how soon or if at all he will walk. Please discuss with his treating neurologist. Take care!
What and If, are just two simple words. But when put together, they create a powerful meaning. What if? I believe that if you remember that God is watching out for all of you, and that everyone has a purpose in this life, then I know everything will work out with your son. I am only 16 years of age, and I myself am dealing with head injurys in my family as well. I just joined this website to hopefully find some peace in my constantly worried mind. And that was when i stumbled across your situation, and I have felt moved by your story. I think god wanted me to reply to you, to help put some peace back into your world. Yes, I believe your son will live a wonderful life to tell, he just needs a little faith put back into his life. So I will pray for you, wherever you are. God loves you and your son, no matter what the situation may be. From your friend, VP.
