Hi there,
I had migraine and tn for many years, however, they were two different problems coexisting (if that makes sense).. My migraines stopped when I discontinued Prozac and the tn got better significantly but is still there once and a while. The tn is a side effect from my surgery (brain surgery), so I think that's just something I have to deal with.. In another post I wrote, I talked about how I altered my diet (grain free) to reduce inflammation and that has worked the best for me.
My doctors always treated the two separately, so I don't think it's common for migraine to be a symptom of tn, but they told me my "migraines" could be occipital neuralgia. Again I got it to resolve, mostly, it took some time and was a lot of trial and error on my part, but I was desparate to find an answer.
Best of luck to you, I know how frustrating it is, don't lose hope!
Hi, I am sorry to say i don't know! Try googling it like this : Migraine+Trigeminal Neuralgia. I just saw your post and want to share something that helps me when I have bad headaches. Join the face book group "Headache Helper". There's a new product there that makes a big difference to me... maybe it will help you.
