facial pain followed by chest pain

Does anyone ever experience sudden facial pain in their cheeks, radiating to their jaws, ears and down the neck prior to having excruciating debilitating mid sternal chest pains? I've had cardiac workups and they are all negative. I have a hiatal hernia and it seems just prior to my esophagus going into spasms I will have incredible facial pain. Then as if that attack is not bad enough the spasms mimic crushing chest pain.  It will only calm down with a cocktail of prescription xylocaine, donnatal and phenobabitol to relax the nerves and muscles.  Can anyone else relate to this?

If these meds are helping, then it can't be your heart. It does sound very much like angina but I'm only a daughter whose Mum had it.
Could it be something to do with your teeth? I had that very mildly when I had decayed wisdom teeth. Dentist told me was referred pain. Worth having it checked.
However, it does seem as if they have got it sorted and, even though it's horrible, you're better off taking the meds and not having all that scary pain.
Wish you well
