Confusion about Vitex

Is vitex okay to take your whole cycle? I've heard it isn't to be taken after ovulation, or if you suspect you are pregnant.

Also, is it okay to take to boost your fertility? It won't mess with your hormones or anything???

I've done some research on this but am getting conflicting messages/advice.

so i've been doing my research on it as well as promised :P and from what i've been able to find and understand:
it can be taken all month long, because it isnt to be taken when pregnant, some say to stop after ovulation just in case you are. another says to take it all month long, except during menstruation, and stop when you find out you are pregnant.
i've decided that what im going to do is take it all month long and only stop taking it during AF or if i find out im pregnant.
