Had a miscarriage 6 days ago and wanting to try again!

I lost my baby at 15 weeks pregnant. Went for an ultrasound to learn there was no heartbeat. Had an D&E same day. Was told by the OBGYN that I can try right away. I am 31 years old, have had 4 healthy pregnancies that all resulted in a healthy baby. This was my 5th pregnancy and everything went okay until the heart stopped. We were told that there was a chromosomal issue called "Turner Syndrome" that is a random, non hereditary issue that resulted in my baby passing. I have this incredible desire to conceive again and have done much research on conceiving following a miscarriage. I learned that most women are very fertile following a miscarriage and that there is no additional risks to conceiving right away. In fact most Doctors only ask their patients to wait one cycle to deal with the emotionals. Okay so here is my question.. I bought an Ovulation Predictor Kit that has 20 tests and the directions state that your to start on peroid day 5 but because I do not have a peroid yet I just started on the 5th day of bleeding. I know the test is basically looking for a surge in LH hormone by seeing your average before ovulation and then when ovulation begins there is a huge surge which is detected on the test and then it notifies you.. I was wondering if it comes back that im ovulating while im still spotting, if I can still get pregnant? I am just spotting now but this could last a but long and it has already been an entire week since miscarriage so I know I should ovulate within the next 5 to 7 days. If anyone has any helpful answers or has been through this situation please share your thoughts!! Thanks..

I'd also like to add the fact that you shouldn't be surprised if you don't ovulate when you are expecting to! A miscarriage can mess up your cycle for a little bit, that's why they say to wait it out until the next one.
I'm so sorry for your loss! :(

Hi:) So sorry for your loss..I don't even know what to say. The good news is you CAN try right away. I've never had a miscarriage so I can't speak on conceiving after a miscarriage. I have only had 1 pregnancy resulting in my son. I can however speak on the OPK. I know it detects the LH surge right before you ovulate. It gives you a window of 12-48 hrs. So as long as you have intercourse starting cycle day 8, the day of your positive, and 2 consecutive days after, take a day off and have intercourse 1 more time you should be good. Good luck with trying to conceive. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
