42 lactating with high levels of HCG

My mom isn't signed up here so I wanted to ask a question for her:
She's 42 years old and hasn't had sexual intercourse since late November 2008. She had some blood work done and they said she had high HCG levels and she just noticed today that she has milk coming out of her breasts. She's gained a whole cup size and figured that was weird for her but she can't be pregnant otherwise she'd be way overdue.

I was wondering if certain medications can cause that or if that's a symptom of menopause? Or what else could be the cause for that.

Its unlikely to be due to drugs.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
High HCG levels in absence of pregnancy could be due to choriocarcinoma of the uterus or ovarian cancer. High HCG is seen normal pregnancy and in other pregnancy associated conditions like ectopic pregnancy, Downs syndrome in fetus, hydatidiform mole of the uterus. Since she also has milk coming out of her breast she also has high prolactin hormone levels. Please discuss this with her doctor ASAP.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

i forgot to mention she just RECENTLY had the blood work done where she was told she had high hcg levels but they didn't mention a possible pregnancy so we're baffled by the cause of all this.
