Thank you for your reply doctor, i do overuse the computer alot, i spend most of my day on the computer working. These dizzy attacks usually take place when i am lying down and i get some symptoms of vertigo, loss of balance, feel like the room is spinning. I only get minor dizzieness Only when i am using the computer. This happned to me before Two years ago the dizzyness went away after 1 weeks or so. So is Treatment really needed?, becuase i am a college student and i dont want to miss out on my edcuation. Thanks again doctor, you have helped me alot trying to find the cause of my dizzyness, but i think i am going to find it hard sleeping with out a pillow... becuase i use two :).

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, it could be positional vertigo. However since it happened while lying down and when you were using computers there is a chance you have compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc.
Use a hard bed to sleep. Avoid a pillow. Roll a towel and place it under your neck while sleeping. Initially this will be uncomfortable but with time the acupressure will do wonders. Use an analgesic cream or spray. Anti-inflammatory drugs also help but should not be taken without consulting a medical specialist face to face. A good physiotherapist can teach you some exercises which will help you a lot. If these tips do not help, you would need to consult a neurologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Doesnt quite sound like vertigo,  Vertigo is usually more severe I think.  I have had dizzy spells If I am a little dehydrated, under more stress than usual, (or under high stress for a long period of time)  or if I have a headache.  I have also had Vertigo before that lasted for about 15 hours, and it was so bad I got motion sick, and could not walk without falling over. I know the Dr. tested for Vertigo with me by having me lay down, then she sat me up fast and I almost fell off the table because everything was spinning so bad.  Either way a dramamine has always helped for dizzy spells, or for Vertigo.  If you get dizzy again be sure to drink lots of water, and try a dramamine.  You can also do the less drowzy formula (meclazine) that you can get over the counter for cheaper,  Usually youhave to ask the pharmacist for it.
