BURNING PAIN IN INTESTINES ???????

I have been waking up every morning with a burning pain in my intestines. I went to my doctor and he said, it sounded like IBS. I went to a GI doctor when I first got this pain about 10 years ago and he said, he thought it was IBS. I had a colonoscopy and they said I had divertiulis. Would this cause a burning pain in my intestines ? I can't seem to get a straight answer from any of the doctors. Now I wake up with a pain that seems to wrap around my stomach, be it eases up after I go to the bathroom. Any ideas what these pains might be ! Someone said, it might be caused by anxiety !!!!

You would unfortunately have to have another colonoscopy. I know they aren't fun but they would need a tissue sample. You should also get blood work done, a full CBC. If your white blood cell and c reactive protein is elevated, it would be indicative of infection and/or inflammation in your colon and lower intestine. But do it soon ok. My dad went septic from diverticulitis concurrent with colitis and it caused his to go septic. My mom woke me up thinking he was having a heart attack and I stabilized him until the ambulance arrived. By then, it was wayyyyyy too bad BUT he had been ignoring his pain. Please do something.

If you had diverticulitis before, you may have colitis now. You should really check that out or you could go septic (blood poisoning).
