why is there blood?

  hello, im 21.  i was  wondering  if anyone  would know.  why is it  that every time i  jump from a high spot. i usally get a mouth  full  of  blood.  i dont mean like  high high places.  every now  and then when  playing  games  with my cousin like  hide  and seek. yes we still play that. i  was  hiding  on a  1story roof  and when i jumped off.  everything  seemed fine. but  when i spit it  was pure blood. what could cause this,  any ideas?

P.S. If it helps, when we were in high school, we started calling it "manhunt" instead of hide-and-seek - it has more street cred ;)

I'm not sure why that would be, but I would say that's something to see a doctor about. It doesn't sound like a good thing.

And, yeah, hide and seek, cool. Jumping from buildings, not so much. One of my best friends used to do stuff like that, and by his mid-20's he had the back of a 40-year-old. It's not awesome to constantly throw your back out at 30. I know no one thinks about those things when they're 21, but...

My recommendation would be not to jump from 1 story buildings.. It isn't really safe at all.

And the cause for the blood might really differ, from simple gum bleeding or smth connected to the oral cavity. To various conditions of GI tract and Respiratory tract.
I would recommend you visiting a doctor if you are worried about it.
