Bruises on fingers/hands
Noticed another bruise on my finger this morning - on underside of middle finger at the joint near the end of the finger (left hand).  Had not injured the finger, no pain or stinging like a blood vessel had burst; what can cause this?  Had a bruise that had a knot in it on the ring finger on right hand a few weeks back...again this bruise showed up - on the palm side, at the joint near the palm  - without pain, although touching the knot would hurt.  The discoloration is gone but the little knot is still there.  The new bruise on the left hand doesn't have a knot.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Bruises on fingers and hands can be due to diabetes, psoriasis, hypothyroidism, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis and malnutrition.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by a skin specialist.
Take care!
