waking up feeling drugged

I have been having a serious problem for the last 3 months, I wake up every morning with a severe headache and feel like I have been drugged it is so bad that sometimes I can not speak my eyes won't work very well and I stumble around and can't keep my balance. I am getting a little scared because now these headaches are waking me up in the middle of the night. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this ?

DO you take medications before you go to bed, you could be taking too much or be having an allergic reaction, or someone could be drugging you, do you have a spouse? You should see a doctor and get your blood/urine checked for drugs.

Hi,

The symptoms you are having sounds like migrains.  But, you will need to contact a neuro doc for confirmation.

Do you sleep alone?  Do these effects last longer than a few minutes?  This sounds like it could be the after effects of nocturnal seizures, which can start at any age.  Are you on any new meds in the last 6 months?
