Chest pains?

Couple of months ago i noticed that my chest was hurting. Not my breasts but in between my breasts I dont know if its my lungs or my heart but it hurts, and mostly when I make sudden movements when I wake up and such. Has this happened to anyone?

If this is a result of lifting, shoveling, sweeping, mopping, playing basketball, tennis, or any other strenous activity, it is called costochondritis.  Basically, it is inflammation of the tendons, or other fibers that hold the ribs in place.  It can hurt bad enough that you think it's a heart attack! (I went to the ER).  After x-rays and other tests, they ruled out heart problems, broken ribs, etc.  turned out to be inflammation - so NSAIDs were prescribed.  Like 500 ml. of Naproxen or Ibuprofen.  -  it went away in about four days.

It depends on why exactly you're having the pain.  There are a lot of things lined up underneath your sternum and on either side of it--heart, lungs, bronchii, pleura, ribs, thymus, esophagus...there are a number of candidates for pain in that region.  I've had bronchitis twice, which caused pain under the sternum, and the treatment for that was antibiotics.  But in the absence of respiratory symptoms, it's probably not bronchitis.  

If this is an ongoing problem, you need to talk to your doctor about it.  Over the counter anti-inflammatories, like ibuprofen, might help a bit.

You should ask a doctor about it.  Since it's sudden movements, I want to guess that it's inflammation in the lungs or in one of the linings in the area, but I really can't say anything for sure.
