Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your symptoms are both due to herniated disc and due to low Vit D. Was Vit B12 level checked? If not then this should also be checked. Vit D replacement will help relieve the symptoms. Regarding herniated discs, the treatment is to remove compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, cervical collars or even surgery. Generally non surgical methods help. Take care!

I am having having panic attacks  and all over body chills. Had a car accident in May of 2009 and not the same since.  MRI found me to have herniated disc at all cervical levels.  I have been experiencing spasms in my arms and face since then. This is making me so scared,  the chills can be severe even when I am sitting at work.  I am afraid I am going to get severely ill.   Very scared. Recent blood work showed very low Vitamin D level.  Thanks

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Feeling of chills, pain or any other abnormal sensation is usually due to a pinched nerve. You need to get a MRI of the upper spine done and consult a neurologist. The treatment is to remove the compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, cervical collars or cervico-thoracic braces or even surgery. Hope this helps. Take care!
