Chills

What would cause this to happen?  I was on my way to bed last night when I got this cold pain in my right hip and chills throughout my body -  I slowly made my way (shivering) into the bathroom and grab the blowdryer to warm me.

Once warmed up by the blowdryer I went to bed - no problems - woke up - no pain but I have a busted blood vessel in my left eye this morning.

Sometimes the body responds to pain with chills.  Don't know why - but the broken blood vessel seems the more important issue.  Might want to see an ophthalmologist to find out why and what caused it.
