Chronic Debilitating Nausea

Hello. For nearly six years I have been suffering from chronic unexplained episodes of nausea.  Shortly after the birth of my daughter (c-section) I began to have these episodes of extreme nausea, vomiting, dizziness, feeling  overheated, shaking, increased bowel movements, and urination.  I have had colonoscopy, egd, barium study, cat scan, ultra sound.  I have been seen and treated for the possibility of panic attacks contributing to episodes, to no avail.  I have had a complete endocrine work up to see if this is in any way related to a previous diagnosis of pituitary prolactinoma... with no findings to suggest that the two have any thing to do with each other.  I have been seen by an allergist and since I had a mild histamine reaction to corn I have completely removed corn in all of its many forms from my diet, again to no avail.  My severe episodes have become less frequent  than at the beginning (3 to 4 times a month, to 1 time a month), but I have trouble with debilitating nausea on almost an every day basis.  I have also found even mild forms of exhertion can send me into a spell of nausea and dizziness.  I have been perscribed phenergan and zofran to help treat my symptoms.  They used to help about 60% of the time but now I have break through nausea sometimes even when I have taken them both.  Transderm scope seems to help occasionally to but I have a site reaction to the adhesive in the patch.  I have radically changed my diet and lifestyle to try to help my body heal. I've spent thousands on "natural healing products and specialist."  I am at my wits end.  No one seem to have any answers.  My quality of life is severely impacted by this.  I never know when an episode is going to leave me completely unable to care for my family.  I thank you for taking the time to consider my symptoms and pray that maybe someone on this site can put the puzzle peices together.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There is a possibility that it is severe acidity with IBS. Omeprazole is a good drug to combat this. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. However I would recommend you see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision. Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food. Increase roughage in your diet. Drink plenty of water. Take iron and multivitamin supplements. See if these tips help.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
