Cold sensations

I am a type 2 diabetic, started on insulin in the last 6 months.  I have almost constant cold sensations in my abdomen that are not cold to the touch.  Cannot warm it up, constantly wearing blanket around middle.

Hello,

Sorry,I jumbled up the answers and posted for another question. In your case,I think that the cold sensations that you have are related to diabetic or autonomic neuropathy. It is there when the blood sugar levels are not properly controlled.I feel that you should consult an endocrinologist and discuss regarding the dose of insulin with him. Also get your blood sugar levels esp Hb A 1c levels monitored.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries.

Hello,

It sounds like folliculitis. It starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph). Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries.
