You're NOT crazy. The pain is real. It could very easily be a muscular trigger point or locked up soft tissue in one area of multiple areas. That's what explains why NOTHING is showing up in the testing that they are doing. Nothing is "broken" to see (no tears, etc..) See my post here:

Best of luck!!
I was in a car accident ( rear ended ) in Feb 09. Immediately started to have a sharp grabby feeling in my left shoulder blade area. Numbness down my left arm and bad headaches. Many doctors later still no help. Although they don't think I'm crazy they don't know what to do with me either. I have had EMG, CT, I can't have MRI. All came back normal. My pain only comes when I'm active. It acts like if I work those muscles in my shoulder they tell me to stop by making lots of PAIN. Heat or ice does not help. Hate the pain meds they only make me feel goofy with the pain. Muscle relaxers don't work. I 'm starting to get a little depressed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have this same exact issue going which has been going on for almost three years now. Nothing seems to make it feel better. Have you found any answers? Have you had an MRI done or any other tests?
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Pain under the left shoulder blade is usually a referred pain from abdomen like stomach ulcers, pancreatitis, or ectopic pregnancy (remote but not impossible after 3 months in females) or from the chest like in heart attack, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor and get a proper referral for an internal medicine specialist. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
