Could my groin soreness be hernia? Or something else?

32 female never been pregnant, a week and a half ago got slight pinching feeling near right ovary. Figured it was ovulation. Got a little more sore than pinching, but I figured it was because I had a very tight tank top on that bad bunched up and was pushing in right there were the soreness was. I moved my tank top and it let up. It came back over the next week on and off worse when sitting, disappearing while walking and at the gym. by the time it became increasingly sore, like a bruise/pulled muscle or something swollen inside, where my ovary would be and up a little higher right above my bikini line, I made a dr apt.

This Monday they did pelvic exam, internal and external ultrasound - nothing found. No cysts, nothing. Told me to come back in 2 weeks, Their theory was that it could be lymph nodes from a slight yeast infection I had had before.

I go to my regular GP bc the soreness got worse.  Test my urine - no infection. Do an exam feeling all over my stomach, back, moving my legs, find nothing. The pain pretty much was gone at that point but that's how it is. It disappears then comes back. Yesterday it was gone and then once I got to work and was sitting at my desk for awhile it came back.

I took a sick day today bc I wanted to rest to see if it would go away. Woke up sore then went for a slow walk with my dog and it lessened up a lot. I went to pass gas and noticed that whatever muscles make u pass gas must involve whatever this is because it tensed up like a Charlie horse.

What the heck could this be? Dr says no appendicitis bc I didn't have any pain on all her physical tests. Not my reproductive organs. Not a UTI. It really looks like it's right where an inguinal hernia would be and at times does feel like a burning sensation, but I see not feel a  bulge and I don't think I've lifted anything heavy lately.

I want to cry as I'm supposed to go away next weekend and I'm not only very sore at times but also worried myself sick over this!

It could be caused by a tight psoas or iliopsoas.  This could be treated with yoga stretches.  Sitting too much causes it.

Rule out piriformis nerve entrapment. Do a google search. Not a typical presentation, but elusive to pinpoint.
