Could this be serious?

I found a pea-sized lump under my skin at the back of my neck to the left side 4 weeks ago. It has not gotten any bigger or smaller since i found it, it is not painful and I haven't got any other symptoms. I haven't caught any viruses or colds in over 6 months so it seems strange that a lymph node would be enlarged. I've been reading online and I'm a bit worried that it could be cancer or something else serious. I'd love to know peoples thoughts or if anyone has experienced anything similar and what the outcome was?  Thanks! :)

Hello~I highly recommend seeing a chiropractor. That "lump" could actually be a misaligned vertebrae. He/she will take some x-rays and upon looking at them, be able to determine what areas need the attention.

I also would ask your PCP, ask for some blood test to run such as a CBC.

Hope this issues clears up soon for you. God bless you.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think it's this though because it feels a little harder and it's not at all visible above the skin - it can just be felt if i press gently on my neck.
Malignant tumors are very hard like a rock and do not move around when touched, unlike lipomas which are
usually much softer and fairly movable.
Lipomas can sometimes grow deeper below the skin, so visible bulging is not a criterion.
