Cracked skin around the base of my penis

My wife recently had a yeast infection, and i caught it from intercourse, at least i thought it was. Hers went away a few days later after taking meds. I took meds too but my symptoms continued, dry itchy rashy type skin on my penis area. After awhile it developed into something different. Now there is a deep crack around the base of my penis, with some dry itch spots on the shaft of it. But the crack is whats bothering me. It looks almost surgical. My wife says it almost looks like there has been a string tied around it. And when i pull the skin too hard looking at it, it cracks open and bleeds or oozes out puss. This has been about 2 weeks now. Ive used yeast infection cream, jock itch cream, and A&D ointment all without success. Im scared its going to fall off :( what could this be?? Cant really afford a doctor right now.
