7 months and still left with no answers...

I am a 25 year old woman who is a mother to a 10 month old little girl. She is my first. When she was 2 months old, I fell I'll. And 7 months later? I don't think I have ever been sicker.. and I'm at a complete loss here.

It all had started with a general ill feeling. I had major stomach problems (going through diarrhea/constipation) which resulted in blood in my stool. My abdomen was swollen and I had pain and swelling in the pelvis area.

I could barely eat.. a month of this, I had stopped eating proper meals all together. I get full really easily (after a few bites) and so from.last November until now?? I only snack throughout the day.. I'm literally never hungry, and I eat to take away the intense hunger pains I would get and still get to this day.

Doctor did some blood work (CBC), and found nothing of a huge concern. he referred.me to a gastro doctor, where I had a scope Don and biopsy. Nothing was found or ruled out...

I kept getting sicker. nonstop infections were happening. In the past 7 months, I've had 4 UTI's, 2 bladder infections, kidney infection, bronchitis, strep throat and even pneumonia a few months ago.

I get incredibly out of breath just from walking now, and my arms and legs hurt so bad,but I really have no other option other than suffer through the pain and try and live life. My whole body feels so flimsy, like if I bend a joint the wrong way, I'm going to wobble and fall. I have now begun wearing shoes around the house because they steady.

I have not had my period since February 3rd.
Back in October I weighed about 125, and now I'm a complete skeleton.. I currently weigh 105 lbs. I have NEVER ever been this small.

I've been to many doctors, and because of my stupid mental health history, and because I guess I don't know how to explain my symptoms very well... I've been shunned and made to look like a fool by most health professionals.. which is leaving me to not want to go in, because I've been made to feel like a loony more times than not.

I have bruises everywhere, and more appear daily.
Super itchy skin, and very thin. I cut myself just from scratching.
And those searches don't heal. They bleed and scap and just don't go away.
I'm so tired.. but I'm afraid to sleep truthfully. Everytime I fall asleep, I can't recall it. And than I am out lIke a log until someone wakes me up. And than I wake up, and I'm extremely confused. Can't recall the time of day, or what's even happening around me. I'm so dashed and confused, and some mornings it honestly puts me in complete meltdown.

7 months of this and I need answers... Scare for my life, I have so much to live for. :(

Help?

Thank you kindly.

Hello~

I am so sorry you are being treated like this. Some folks in the medical profession can be so cruel. I do have a suggestion however. Are there any Naturopaths in your area. I went through hell with all kinds of illnesses, no regular doctor could help, I found an excellent Naturopath, she took a complete history of my issues, did many tests, and then started to prescribe the correct amount of vitamins, minerals and herbs. She also recommended a good chiropractor and acupuncture. Well, I did not get well over night, but, today I am a darn site better than I was. It is sure worth a try.

I would ask whom ever you see for an ultra sound, you could have some fibroids or cysts on your ovaries, this can cause some of the issues you mentioned as well.

God bless you.

I believe you.  I think you have anemia causing the exhaustion and confusion.  I think you may have colitis or Celiac disease causing the GI trouble and causing the anemia.  I know more about Celiac since I have it, and it causes malabsorption and therefore malnutrition and iron-deficiency anemia plus vitamin D, B12 and magnesium deficiencies.  These deficiencies cause skin injuries to not want to heal, insomia, confusion, depression, anxiety.  I am so sorry the medical community is ONCE AGAIN treating a patient poorly.  A lot of them only like diseases they can prescribe drugs for.  For Celiac they have to do some tests and even if the tests fail to prove you have Celiac, you will still need to go off of gluten for a month and see if you improve.  You DO want to have testing - there are about 3 blood tests.  Once you get off gluten it's too late to test.   If you have anemia, you may need to take iron for 12 years to recover.  It takes time to recover from anemia.  Months and months.   The good news is that once you get off gluten, within a week you will likely start feeling a bit better.  But it's a tough learning curve so you may make some mistakes on your way to getting completely free of gluten.  If you have a support system that can helpl you in the beginning, that would be helpful because right now you are so depleted that it's hard to think straight, let alone learn what you can and can't eat.
If your doctor treats you so bad, you need to find one who is kinder and good at autoimmune diseases like Celiac.  Don't ignore this problem because if you have Celiac and you don't get off gluten, you may accumulate other autoimmune diseases that will only go away when you get off gluten.  Also unless you stop eating gluten, if you do have Celiac disease, you will be at a higher risk for cancers such as lymphoma if you keep eating wrong for you.  Unfortunately, for a year or two you may need to also avoid drinking milk and reduce dairy AND you may even react to corn and soy, at least for a while.  But Celiac is actually a problem with a protein in wheat, rye, barley and hidden in tons of foods such as beer.  Most people think it is worth it to feel better.
