My husband went to the doctor yesterday. The doctor did an ekg and it was fine. He told him that it was the wall between the chest and lung having spasms. He put him on voltaren. And the doctor also said that stress, hunger, and lack of sleep can cause it to have spasms. Should I still get them to run more test.
Thank you for your information. It has helped out alot I think I would not have worried if it would have been on the right side so much but it concerned me being on the left side. I made him an appointment today to see his Doctor. And told him to tell the doctor everything not to with hold anything from him so we can get to the bottom of the problem. Thank You again the information has helped alot
Hello,
Going by the side and site of pain,it can be It can be due hypertension,Gastroesophageal reflux disease, disorders involving the lung like Pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, etc;cardiac diseases, thoracic outlet syndrome, pancreatitis, costochondritis or muscle pain.
I feel that since it is on the left side,so definitely cardiac causes need to be ruled out.Investigations like ECG,echocardiography ,chest CT and upper GI endoscopy are needed to confirm a diagnosis.I sincerely advise you to consult a physician and get your husband thoroughly investigated.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your husband is doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
