Dull headaches starting with loose stool

I am 56 years old and since I was in my 20's I have, on a montly basis or sometimes twice a month,  dull headaches and
wiftiness (off, slightly dizzy) that always start out with loose stools.  These can last for 3-4 days and I continue to work, but
everything requires a lot of effort and concentration.  I feel like I have the "flu", but no fever, just off in the head and feel slightly
dizzy.   I still cannot figure out what triggers these.  Anyone else out there experience this type of chronic headache and "wifty"
feeling?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The symptoms could be due to inflammatory bowel conditions such as Celiac Disease/Ulcerative Colitis/Irritable Bowel Syndrome/ Crohn’s disease. It can also be lactose or any other food intolerance. Parasites in the gut like threadworm, tape worm, giardiasis etc can behave this way. Hence a stool test is a must.
I would strongly recommend you to see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system). Maybe your physician can recommend someone.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Could it be related to irritable bowel syndrome episodes?  Perhaps a vasovagal stimulation response- stool, headache correlation?  Has any doctor ever run a brain scan for the headaches and dizzy feelings?
