EXTREMELY DRY LINGUIL TONSILS - AND BLACK SPOT

I have had EXTREMELY dry linguil tonsils on the right side of my mouth for about 20 weeks now, it can be awful, some days it's not so bad..... this dryness is now on my upper, but not my lower gums.

I had three teeth extracted at the back on that side about the same time, I mention this only as a matter of fact, not to pre-empt anything, it may be a co-incidence.

My dental practitioner has checked twice and she sees nothing abnormal about the tongue or the gums. I had a referral later from my doctor (General Practitioner)  to a specialist Ear Nose and throat Consultant, who after putting a camera up my nostrils and down the back of my throat, said that I had EXTREMELY dry lingual tonsils on my right hand side, but he could offer no explanation or solution ...... ????

This was two weeks ago and the condition is still the same. Often I think that the taste buds on top of the tongue (just slightly beyond as far as I can see) are more raised than the other side and I feel as though they are also catching very slightly against the soft tissue at the back/top of my soft palate .......

Today, on the side of the tonsil (ligual) I see a black spot, about 4-5 mm wide about where the dryness starts (about halfway along my tongue ...)

now I am getting worried .......

Black spot is definitely a cause for worry and concern.  You need to have the black spot removed and the doctor may recommend removing your tonsils as soon as possible.  Black is never a good color anywhere.  Call your doctor right away and get this taken care of.
