I have been checked for MS, Tumors, and just about everything in between and all come back normal. One thing to note is that I have cramps in my hands, calves and feet and tingling feelings that come and go. I am wondering if this could be a circulation issue. Also, i get nauseated quite a bit. I did see an ENT at the beginning of all this and he can't seem to find anything. My hearing is excellent and I had all the tests, water in the ears, hot and cold. If I am anxious, I am not sure what would be the cause. I have a great marriage and wonderful son, my job is great and is the job I have wanted for years. I work out 3 to 4 times a week and am physically fit. If anyone can help, please feel free to comment. I am just tired of this ****. I eat better than anyone I know. Help.
One thing that comes to mind is multiple sclerosis, although it is probably unlikely. The symptoms of spasticity, insensitivity to temperature, and fine tremors can all be attributed to MS. Also, about 5% of MS patients have vertigo, and most experience vertigo at some point during the course of the illness. Again, highly unlikely, but something the neurologist should be looking into.
If you are still havinig vertigo, it may be BPPV (benign paroxysmal positioning vertigo). Typically, the vertigo spells will last for 15 seconds but patients often say it is "all the time" because during a typical day they don't simply remain still for 15 seconds at a time. Try to see if the vertigo ceases during a prolonged period of motionlessness.
Two common causes of a "lump in the throat" sensation (globus) are GERD and anxiety. Do you have any symptoms of GERD such as heartburn, feeling of liquid running up your throat, sore throat, post nasal drip? If so, the lump feeling may just be another symptom. If you are concerned about what is going on as far as the tremors and such (and you have every right to be concerned), you may just be having anxiety issues that you are unaware of. This can also cause the lump feeling and can resolve once the anxiety is lessened.
I've only given you possibilities, and none of them are really related to one another. If your doctor does not take you seriously or is not willing to work with you until you are satisfied, you must keep looking until you find one (often they are hard to find). Don't give up hope, and just keep pressing until you find out what's really going on.
Perhaps you have 2 or 3 different things going on. Have you had any inner ear tests to rule out Menierre's? I am not sure what the lump in the throat is about. Is it on the side or near the adam's apple or where? It could be a swollen lympth node. Perhaps you should see an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist?
