I have been experiencing joint pain on and off for about 3-4 years now but it has gotten worse in the last year. Ive gone to the Dr but trying to explain all my symptoms feels like I'm just overwhelming them and they basically told me to just take ibuprofen. They ran blood tests for RA, and thyroid but both were negative.
Here are my symptoms...
Pain in feet, both sides, worse in the morning, or after sitting for a while. It is also worse if I walk for a long time like going on a hike. The pain occurs from the front middle of my feet to the outside edge. I have also been getting stabbing pain in my little toes on occasion that feels sort of like something is pinched.
Pain in my left hip. This comes and goes but is definitely worse if I sleep on my left side. A pillow between my legs at night sometimes helps.
Pain in my left elbow. This also comes and goes and is worse if I sleep on my left side. It hurts worse to lift things in front of me, and when I extend my elbow.
Pain in my fingers and wrists. This is always made worse by working with my hands or doing anything repetitive. I find it difficult at time to open jars and feel more clumsy.
Pain in my knees. They rarely ache, buy I cannot get down on my knees without pain. It feels like I am kneeling on stones.
I also sometimes get pain in my shoulders, and my low back.
I have on occasion subluxed ribs just from sleeping at night or being squished between people on the couch. This causes difficulty breathing and stabbing pain which can take days to go away. I had 5 ribs out of place the last time I went to the chiro.
I don't know if this is related but I have had Reynaud's for about 2.5 years as well.
I don't know if this is some kind of arthritis or if something else is going on. I don't really have any redness, warmth or swelling.
I have joint hypermobility although it seems like I've lost flexibility over the last 2 years. Could this all just be due to that?
If anyone has any insight or advice it would be greatly appreciated. I know I should go back to the Dr, but if I had some idea of what's going on maybe I could point them in the right direction.
