Fast heart-rate, numbness, dizziness, headaches

For a very long time now, I’ve had a fast, pounding heartbeat. When ever I lay down to try to sleep, I can feel it twitching erratically in my chest. I experience shortness of breath, and during the day, I get extreme fatigue. The fatigue is to the point that it makes it very difficult for me to function sometimes. I have pretty consistent numbness in my right leg, and sometimes in my left arm and hand. I will also get episodes of numbness all over my body. On top of that, I get left chest pain every couple of days or so. When I’m feeling very fatigued, I get this weird pressure in my head, and in conjunction with that pressure, I feel dizzy. It’s not a dizzy feeling like I’m going to fall over, but more like I feel very “out of it” and disoriented. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on? I went to a cardiologist, and he said I was ok (although I don’t totally trust him). I’m a 24 year-old female. I’m very scared. Any input helps.

There are numerous reasons for tachycardia. My reasons were hyperthyroidism and magnesium. I had notable symptoms when my heart rate was 250 to 300 bpm.

Causes of tachycardia listed by Mayo Clinic...

"Damage to heart tissues from heart disease

Abnormal electrical pathways in the heart present at birth (congenital heart conditions, including long QT syndrome)

Disease or congenital abnormality of the heart

Anemia

Exercise

Sudden stress, such as fright

High or low blood pressure

Smoking

Fever

Drinking too much alcohol

Drinking too many caffeinated beverages

Medication side effects

Abuse of recreational drugs, such as cocaine

Imbalance of electrolytes, mineral-related substances necessary for conducting electrical impulses

Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)"
